Job summary

Humble Vascular Surgical Center Inc. is seeking a qualified Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant to support patient care on-site.

You will observe and report patient status, respond to call lights, collect specimens, and assist with examinations and treatment alongside physicians and nurses. The role requires maintaining safety standards, patient dignity, and professional conduct while performing vital sign monitoring and bed management.

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Minimum of two years patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Observes and reports patient's status and needs.
  • Answers call lights and attends to/reports patient needs.
  • Obtains specimens and transport to and sends through designated tube.
  • Transfers, moves and repositions patients.
  • Monitors and records patient's vital signs like heart rate, pulse temperature and blood pressure.
  • Assists physicians and nurses during medical examination and treatment of the patient.
  • Makes occupied and unoccupied beds.
  • Maintains current knowledge and certification requirements.
  • Attends required safety trainings and can describe responsibilities related to general and department safety hazards.
  • Respects patient dignity and maintain a professional, courteous environment.

Occupational Exposure

Minimum of two years patient care experience preferred


Category I exposure to bloodborne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards.
