Job summary

HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to be an integral part of our collaborative nursing team in Port St. Lucie, FL. You will assist with vital signs, mobility and personal care, while helping RNs monitor conditions and execute care plans.

Qualifications include Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date and no prior experience required. This role involves no travel and offers comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• BLS/Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily patient needs such as vital signs, mobility and personal care
• Support Registered Nurses in monitoring conditions and carrying out care plans
• Maintain clean, organized patient areas and supply rooms to ensure safety and efficiency
• Communicate with patients, families and care team to support safety and quality
• Assist with supplies, equipment and infection control logs

• Assistingwith patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked tomaintainsafety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
