Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Goodyear, AZ is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide individualized patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with delegated tasks, participate in shift and bedside reports, and support unit initiatives.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or CNA/PCA/PCT certificate, CPR certification, and EKG training in selected units. Prefer CNA/LNA certification from the Arizona State Board of Nursing and one year of acute care

Job Summary

Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists the professional or licensed nurse as delegated in tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside report. Participates and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

Special Skill

Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and health care team members.

Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique and infection control best practices.

Minimum Requirements
