Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Part-Time Nursing Assistant to support patient care on day shifts. You will take vital signs, relay information to the nurse, and assist with routine nursing tasks in a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include clerical receptionist duties and general coordination to ensure smooth department operations. A High School diploma or GED and CNA certification or six months of CNA experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; nursing assistant certification or 6 months recent CNA experience.
• Basic life support (BLS) training may be required as per orientation.

Experience

• Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.

Licensure/Certification

• Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
