Intermountain Region ASCs is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support licensed nurses in Utah. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, collect specimens, and provide caregiver support to deliver safe, compassionate patient care on a clinical unit.

Responsibilities include routine treatments, post-procedure care, adherence to aseptic technique, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Formación

• Graduate of an approved CNA program.
• Current Florida CNA certification.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Minimum six months experience in patient care preferred.

• Administer simple treatments and tests according to policies/procedures.
• Provide post-procedure care in an efficient, compassionate manner.
• Initiate patient care activities per the nursing plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation, hygiene).
• Observe patients and promptly notify the nurse of changes in condition.

Under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs routine, non-professional patient care activities. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, obtaining and recording vital signs, collecting specimens, and providing support in delivering quality patient care in a safe and compassionate manner.

Essential Functions

• Administer simple treatments and/or tests according to established policies and procedures.
• Provide post-procedure care to patients in an efficient, compassionate, and empathetic manner.
• Initiate patient care activities consistent with the nursing plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including:
  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Feeding
  • Ambulation
  • Personal hygiene

Clinical Support

• Understand and consistently apply principles of aseptic technique when caring for patients.
• Observe patients and promptly notify the nurse of any changes in condition.
• Collect specimens and assist with patient care procedures as directed.

Professionalism & Compliance

• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, safety standards, and infection control practices.

Education & Experience

Required

• Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
• Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred

• Minimum of six (6) months of experience assisting in the care of patients in a healthcare setting.

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and assisting patients with mobility.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and transfer patients with appropriate assistance and equipment.
• Exposure to patient care environments and potential contact with communicable diseases.
