Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a flexible, compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing units. This non-licensed staff member assists with transport, bedside care, and patient comfort under supervision of a primary nurse.

The role requires Georgia CNA licensure or completion of Fundamentals of Nursing if a nursing student, with on-the-job training and potential prior PCT experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• CNA licensure in Georgia or nursing student completing Fundamentals of Nursing.
• On-the-job training; prior Patient Care Tech experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report basic patient data (vital signs, weight, urine output).
• Monitor patient intake/output and document on forms.
• Identify and report changes to licensed staff promptly.
