Job summary

AdventHealth in Davenport, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support bedside care in a busy acute care setting. The role focuses on patient safety, comfort, and coordination with nursing staff, under supervision.

Required CNA/CPCT/A/EMT or equivalent, BLS CPR certification, and High School diploma. Background screening per Florida law applies; great opportunity for growth within a faith-based healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
