Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist under nurse supervision with routine patient care and delegated tasks as competency dictates.
Responsibilities include dressing patients, transporting them, monitoring vital signs, reporting abnormalities, guiding patients and families, and verifying patient information to support safe and compassionate care.
The Patient Care Technician is responsible for:
Under the supervision of a nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates.
Provides basic clinical skills required to safely perform routine delegated patient care activities, record and report pertinent clinical data, knowledge and use of specialized patient care equipment
1. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
2. BLS certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
One year of clinical experience is required or successful completion of the intern program
Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
