Patient Care Technician – Night Shift

This full‑time opportunity offers 36 hours per week, full benefits, and a convenient night shift schedule. Overtime is available and various shifts may be covered if desired.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, write and have working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Completion of formal training program for Certified Nursing Assistants and possession of state CNA certification
  • CNA license in the state of Florida required as of 8/1/2013; current employees can transfer
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Good communication skills to relate to customers
  • Ability to perform EKGs
  • Pass arrhythmia test within 90 days of hire to continue employment
  • Computer skills, order entry and ADT function
Role and Responsibilities

Performs various customer care activities and related services in the patient care area, including monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry rhythm strips, providing receptionist and secretarial duties, and performing patient care tasks. Must be willing to cross‑train and float to meet facility needs. Recognizes signs and symptoms of stroke and initiates stroke alerts, verbalizes the alert process, and maintains knowledge by completing annual online training.
