Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking a versatile healthcare assistant who will perform CNA, phlebotomy, EKG, and unit secretary duties. The role requires maintaining clinical skills and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as assigned.

Compliance with policy and patient safety standards is essential. Candidates should have basic patient care knowledge and preferably EKG and phlebotomy skills, plus data entry and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Familiar with basic patient care standards for all age groups.
• Basic EKG skills preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.
• Computer data entry skills required, preferably Microsoft Office.
• Six (6) months or more experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Must adhere to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct and report issues to Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of a Certified Nurse Assistant, Phlebotomist, EKG Technician, and Unit Secretary.
• Maintain performance skills.
• Routinely works weekends, holidays overtime, and/or on-call/call-back in assigned shift.
