Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a Patient Care Tech to assist patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under RN supervision in a non-acute hospital setting. This role supports patient comfort, safety, and recovery across adult populations.

Responsibilities include assisting with admissions and discharges, monitoring patient status, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to meet care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; additional languages optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients within Nursing Assistant scope of practice.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the RN.
• Maintain patient safety and hygiene to ensure a clean environment.
• Document care activities according to standards.
