Job summary

The Patient Care Technician at Ephraim McDowell Health provides patient care under the direction of licensed staff and within the defined practice scope. Requires a high school diploma or GED; KY Nurse Aide Registry preferred with BLS within 3 months. One year of experience preferred. Shift is 7 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification and/or eligible nursing assistant course and exam preferred; KY Nurse Aide Registry preferred.
• Must maintain 12 CEU’s annually and complete on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of licensed staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and liaise between departments.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to nursing practice standards.
