Providers we serve: Hospitals, Long-Term Care Facilities, Hospice, Home Care, Specialty Clinics. Solutions include: MEDIpack packaged medications, nutrition therapy, home infusion services, specialty pharmacy services, and infusion centers.

This position currently falls under the Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS) vaccine mandate. If you are selected for this position, you will be required to comply with CMS requirements. A reasonable accommodation process is available for new hires through our Human Resources department.

This position is responsible for all prescription data entry and order processing with the primary goal to service patients within our Infusion Centers (IC’s). This includes processing new Rx’s and refilling current Rx’s for patients scheduled to receive infusions. This person must be able to multitask between different communication streams and software systems. This is an on-site position with an anticipated work schedule of Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (no weekends). No travel is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Enter medication orders for new referrals. Prepare refills for subsequent visits based on IC schedules. Be in constant contact with IC pharmacists and techs to keep ICs running smoothly, which includes taking and writing detailed notes in patients’ charts.
  • Contact physicians to secure new orders. Send verbal orders to physicians for new orders, labs, premeds as needed. Troubleshoot issues and triage as needed. Help other departments with IC issues, as well as collaborate and communicate with other departments to fix delays.
  • Help with policies, procedures, and special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required. A current, unrestricted pharmacy technician license in the state of practice, and pharmacy technician certification required.

Experience: Two years’ experience in a pharmacy setting preferred. Home Infusion pharmacy experience required. Prior managerial experience a plus. Must be proficient in computer skills, including MS Office.
