Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support registered nurses in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in Med Surg. You will assist with daily activities, monitor patient comfort, and help maintain a safe environment.

This role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and effective communication. Qualifications include Basic Life Support within 7 days of start and 6 months of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
• 6 Months Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
