Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in an inpatient setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, collect specimens, and support nursing procedures with a focus on safety and documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma or GED, have PCA/PCT or related experience or are enrolled in a nursing program, and possess basic computer skills with proficiency

Formación

• Experience as a PCA/PCT/NA/LPN/EMT or military medical corpsman is preferred.
• 1 year in an acute or long-term care facility or nursing program enrollment.
• Basic computer skills and EMR documentation experience.
• Proficient in phlebotomy and straight catheterization.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care and document observations and interventions.
• Perform activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, and basic procedures.
• Assist RN with care of acutely ill patients and participate in unit coordination.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate documentation in EMR.
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers under supervision.
