Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician II for the PCU, full-time day shift. Under supervision, you will assist nursing staff, monitor vital signs, help with ambulation, hygiene, and daily tasks, and ensure room readiness and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 6 months Experience in a healthcare related field or actively enrolled in a pre-nursing or nursing program and pursuing a nursing degree. Required
• BLS certification required upon hire (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Assists with ambulating and mobilization of patients and records vital signs
• Manages supplies and equipment for the department and maintains inventory
• Receives calls, serves as the department receptionist, and communicates with the nursing staff
• Assists with personal hygiene, meal preparation, feeding, I&O, and patient comfort
• Documents data accurately and coordinates transfers and discharges as needed
• Promotes teamwork and supports meeting department goals
