Qualifications

• Minimum: BLS certification by AHA.
• Departments require EMT or EMT-Paramedic; or CNA in Emergency.
• Telemetry Monitor Observer course within six months for ED/Cottage Cardiac Rehab.
• Preferred: use of electronic medical records and order entry.
• Preferred: experience as Patient Care Technician in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under licensed supervision.
• Assist with daily living activities and support care teams.
• Facilitate workflow for unlicensed staff in MedSurg.
• Support department operations and patient comfort.
