Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a dedicated CNA/GNA capable of providing direct patient care under nursing supervision in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will take vital signs, assist with ADLs, and aid in specimen collection while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The role includes documenting patient data, participating in rounds, and collaborating with the health care team to adjust plans of care. Maryland CNA/GNA certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Maryland state certification as CNA or GNA.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under nursing supervision.
• Take vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and collect specimens.
• Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges; participate in rounds.
• Maintain safe environment and document patient data and condition.
