The position is day shift, 0630-1900, full-time, emphasizing strong communication, organization, and the ability to learn new healthcare skills. CPR training is provided during onboarding.

Summary:
The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary along with excellent communication skills both to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team. This PCT is a safety champion for the unit.
Other information:
12 college level credit hours that include a passing grade in English Composition with a C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.(transcripts will be verified upon application)
Healthcare experience preferred but not required
Service industry experience preferred but not required
Will provide education that includes: CPR, Skills training, Crucial Conversations, and Hospitality in Healthcare. Must complete and pass module 1.Knowledge Skills and Abilities Needed: Willingness to work flexible hours. Good organization skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn and apply new healthcare related skills. Ability to communicate effectively and do so consistently. Ability to collaborate with the health care team effectively and do so consistently. Ability to engage people at the appropriate level for their wellness and cognition. Ability to problem solve. Ability to be proactive in anticipating the customer’s needs.
This job will be authorized 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
