Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Patient Care Tech at St Vincents Medical Center to support patient care under a Nurse Leader. The role involves direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced environment with priorities and flexible scheduling.

On-site orientation and career ladder opportunities are available based on experience, skills, and certifications. No prior experience is required; training is provided on-site.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-site training provided.
• Completion of PCT orientation.
• BLS Provider credentialed by the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment preferred.
• Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the AHA preferred.
• Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under Nurse Leader supervision.
• Support safe and efficient care environment according to hospital standards and procedures.
• Participate in a clinical ladder for advancement based on experience, skillsets and certifications held.
