Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX, seeks compassionate care staff to assist with patients’ physical and psychosocial needs under the guidance of a licensed nurse. You will perform tasks per competency documentation and provide direct care with limited invasive procedures, while supporting other duties as assigned.

This role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and reliable time management as part of daily patient care in a 414-bed acute care facility serving North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency; must demonstrate basic care giving skills and essential job functions.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• BLS Healthcare Provider training provided during orientation; must be completed.
• Must communicate effectively and manage time well.

Position Summary

Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner. Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Position provides direct care with limited invasives procedures. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency. Must possess competency in use of technology and computers.
• Previous care giving experience preferred. Must have the ability to demonstrate basic care giving skills and essential job functions.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. Must successfully complete "Handle with Care" within 6 months of hire/transfer, and annually thereafter.
• Must have effective communication and time management skills. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and reports patient welfare, safety and security to RN.
