Job summary

Unity Health in Searcy, AR is seeking a Patient Care Tech for day shift (6A-6P) and every other weekend in 3 West Med/Surg. The role supports nurses with direct patient care and completes essential tasks to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved PCT program or Unity Health PCA II course, and basic computer skills. EKG and phlebotomy experience are preferred or available on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; must graduate from approved PCT program or complete Unity Health PCA II Course.
• Experience with EKGs and phlebotomy preferred or on-the-job training.
• Ability to perform direct and indirect patient care; basic computer entry.
• Must communicate effectively with hospital staff and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and filing; draw blood and transport to the lab.
• Deliver direct patient care under RN/LPN guidance; assist with ADLs.
• Maintain accuracy in documentation and computer entry.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines; support daily hospital tasks.
