Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a patient care tech to perform basic clinical and non-clinical care under supervision. You will assist with patient movement, bedside care, and daily activities, while reporting changes to the nursing staff.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of related experience, with 1-3 years in a hospital setting and open availability. BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month (30 days) of hire date required.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
• 1-3 years patient care tech experience in a hospital setting.
• Open availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.
• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
