Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, help maintain a safe, welcoming environment, and assist with vital signs, mobility, and daily patient needs.

This role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and attention to detail as you help carry out care plans and monitor patient conditions. No travel required; on-site position at our 420+ bed acute care facility.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
