Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency. Must possess competency in use of technology and computers.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred. Must have the ability to demonstrate basic caregiving skills and essential job functions.
• BLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
• Must have effective communication and time management skills. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and reports patient welfare, safety and security to RN.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist with patients' physical and psychosocial needs.
• Performs direct care with limited invasive procedures and handles other duties as assigned.
