Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician or Nurse Technician for the Post-operative/General Surgical Unit (South 5). The unit is a 36-bed environment for adult and short-stay pediatrics, covering vascular, general surgery, GI, GU, bariatric, head and neck, and breast reconstruction.

Requirements include Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C), CNA program completion, high school diploma, BLS, MA-R licensure post-hire (sponsored), and at least one year of healthcare experience

Qualifications

• NA-C required.
• Completion of a CNA training program or equivalent nursing training experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS certification required for Health Care Providers.
• MA-R licensure required post hire (sponsorship provided).
• One year of recent health-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist nursing staff in post-operative and general surgical care.
• Document patient information accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain unit safety, cleanliness and supply levels.
• Assist with patient and family education as directed.
