Job summary

LCMC Health seeks a Patient Care Tech to assist in collecting data for patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and support hygiene and daily care at the bedside.

You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and complete patient rounding to improve satisfaction and safety while embracing teamwork and continuous learning in a hands-on care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect data for assessments (vital signs, weights, I&O) as assigned.
• Assist with hygiene, nutrition and personal care needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in patient care areas.
• Complete patient rounding to drive satisfaction and safety.
• Support teamwork and follow directions in performance of duties.

Your Everyday

Assist in collecting data used for assessment of patients’ conditions as assigned, including vital signs, weights, blood glucose monitoring, I&O, etc. Assist with patient hygiene, nutrition and personal care needs and patient‑related tasks. Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone. Maintain a clean environment in patient care areas. Complete patient rounding in accordance with patient assignments and schedule to drive patient satisfaction and safety. Enhance knowledge and seek opportunities for career development. Embrace teamwork and direction in performance of duties.

The Must‑Haves

Minimum:

High School Diploma or equivalent, appropriate work experience. Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
