Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will help monitor conditions, follow care plans, and communicate with patients, families, and the care team to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• CNA certification (or Education in lieu of Credential) must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.
