United Surgical Partners International, Inc. (USPI) Arizona Specialty Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Tech on a full‑time basis.

The role supports surgical inpatients by providing basic care under RN supervision and performing routine duties as needed by the Pre-Op/PACU team. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification, CPR certification, and experience in patient care, vital signs, and charting.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; CNA experience preferred.
• Current CNA license and CPR certification required.
• Must be able to take vital signs and provide personal care.
• Able to ambulate patients and operate wheelchairs safely.
• Strong communication, organization, and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients.
• Support Pre-Op/PACU operations as directed by the Manager.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control standards.
• Document patient information according to established protocols.

USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is Hiring a Patient Care Tech Full Time!

USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is a specialty inpatient hospital which was established to set a new standard for excellence and patient satisfaction in the delivery of orthopedic and spinal surgery. Arizona Specialty Hospital provides excellent patient services and the highest level of care, with the overall goal of improving the delivery of healthcare in Maricopa County and beyond. The Patient Care Tech is responsible to assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Job Summary

• Responsible for helping our surgical patients through their inpatient stay, providing basic care needs, under the direction of a RN.
• Other general duties as needed by the Manager of the Pre-Op/PACU.
• Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred
• Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
• Patient Interviewing skills
• Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
• Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
• Ability to perform routine invasive procedures, such as venipuncture, and EKG
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
