Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with a minimum of 120 hours of clinical experience.
• Copy of diploma and transcripts from program or verification letter from school supporting completion of MA apprenticeship.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and facilitate provider schedule as directed.
• Take and record vitals (BP, pulse, respiration, temperature, height/weight) and prepare exam rooms.
• Assist physicians with routine procedures and supply management during visits.
• Perform basic clerical duties: check-in patients, schedule appointments, maintain logs and records.
• Support in orienting new staff and transporting supplies as needed.
• Demonstrate computer literacy for charting in electronic medical records and comply with safety standards.
• Administer routine medications in accordance with regional nursing policies.
• Provide courteous service and maintain a safe, clean patient care environment.
• Prepare treatment rooms for procedures using sterile technique as required.
• Greet and escort patients, inform them of delays and update the physician team as needed.
