Job summary

Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics in Davis, CA seeks a super outgoing Registered Dental Assistant to be our Patient Care Leader. This role drives daily clinical operations, patient flow, and service excellence in a fast-paced pediatric practice.

You will onboard and mentor new staff, support to Area Manager and Practice Manager, manage supplies, ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and maintain a welcoming, kid-friendly environment that makes dental visits fun.

Qualifications

• Must have current and active state certified RDA license.
• Proven leadership and staff-training abilities.
• Passion for working with children and patient care.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dental setting.
• Commitment to HIPAA, OSHA, and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of the clinical team’s operations including schedule changes, patient flow, and the overall delivery of care.
• Resolves problems by clarifying the issues involved; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions.
• Ensure that Kids Care excellent customer service is delivered and surpassed to each patient.
• Provide regular feedback to the Area Manager and Practice Manager on employee performance and take an active role in leading the employee’s annual review and any disciplinary action.
• Responsible to successfully onboard and train all new staff, as well as lead and coach other team members.
• Assist the Area Manager and Practice Manager in the execution of any revised or new company policies.
• Order and maintain dental supplies in a cost effective manner according to defined budgets.
• Maintenance and repair of office equipment.
• Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and pertinent laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, Dental Board, etc…).
• Ensure the team is always provided with a safe and clean working environment and that our patients are wowed by the overall appearance of our office.
• Assist Practice Manager with employee work schedules (time off, call-outs, coverage, etc.).
• Traditional duties of a Registered Dental Assistant.
• Other duties as assigned
