Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Front Office Specialist / Medical Assistant for the MHMH MSUN Priority Care in Oxford, OH. This PRN role is cross-trained to perform duties in both front and back office to enhance efficiency and continuity of care.

Responsibilities include documenting care, triaging calls, checking in patients, taking vitals, EKGs, charging entries, filing records, and assisting with procedures while protecting patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Degree is required.
• Registration experience required.
• Check in triage experience.
• Vitals collection experience.
• Charge entry responsibilities.
• EKG proficiency preferred.
• Filing and Medical Records handling.
• 1–2 years in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Accurately documents all care and actions in the patient’s medical record and supports QA processes.
• Analyze daily fast claim reports, coordinate information with billing, and schedule next visit at checkout.
• Triage patient calls and direct to appropriate disposition; notify physician for emergencies; protect patient privacy.
• Manage front office tasks: collect co-pays, process payments, register demographics, notify patients of balances, and copy insurance cards.
• Assist with medical procedures on adults and children; record vitals and annual competencies; maintain patient privacy and record privacy.
• Handle patient complaints and escalate to manager as needed.
