Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact at one of our health centers in California. You will help manage patient flow, gather data, and support front-office operations with professionalism.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, preferred medical office training, and 2 years of healthcare experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; familiarity with office software and strong communication are

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED is required.
• Completed training program in Medical Office Assisting from Accredited College, preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt clerical support; promotes a smooth patient flow; collects and records data accurately; maintains order of the front office, equipment and supplies.
• Helps ensure patients and families get the care they need when they need it.
• Communicates with supervisor and staff openly and consistently.
• Works flexible or extended hours where necessary.
• Participates in health center in-services and meetings; listens and respects others’ ideas.
• Abides by Rules of Confidentiality.
