Job summary

Essentia Health Virginia Clinic is hiring a Clinic Care Technician to assist with daily patient flow, greet and room patients, obtain vital signs, and document in the electronic medical record. The role may require floating to support other areas as assigned and may involve basic patient care tasks based on training.

The ideal candidate has healthcare experience, strong customer service skills, and familiarity with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills and ability to follow direction.
• Experience in healthcare or patient care is preferred.
• Experience using an electronic medical record system.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, support in scheduling and patient flow.
• Room patients, obtain vitals, and document in the EMR.
• Chaperone exams and assist with clerical duties as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and assist with follow-ups.
• Support providers and clinical staff with administrative tasks.
