Job summary

Sonova, a leader in hearing health, is seeking a Hearing Care Coordinator in Redding, CA. You will work closely with clinical staff to schedule appointments, verify insurance, and assist patients within the clinic.

The role supports patient care, processes payments, and helps with inventory and equipment. Candidates should have 2+ years in health care and strong customer service skills; hearing aid knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Current pay: $22.00-23.00 an hour + Performance-Based Sales Incentive Bonus!

Clinic Hours : Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm/One hour lunch/40 hours weekly

Job Description:

The Hearing Care Coordinator (HCC) works closely with the clinical staff to ensure patients are provided with quality care and service. By partnering with the Hearing Care Professionals onsite, the HCC provides support to referring physicians and patients. The HCC will schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits and details, and assist with support needs within the clinic.

As a Hearing Care Coordinator, you will:

• Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude
• Place outbound calls to current and former patients for the purpose of scheduling follow-up hearing tests and consultations and weekly evaluations for the clinic
• Collect patient intake forms and maintain patient files/notes
• Complete benefit checks and authorization for each patients’ insurance
• Provide first level support to patients, answer questions, check patients in/out, and collect and process payments
• Process repairs under the direct supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional
• Prepare bank deposits and submit daily reports to finance
• General sales knowledge for accessories and any patient support
• Process patient orders, receive all orders and verify pick up, input information into system
• Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
• Submit equipment and facility requests
• Manage inventory, order/monitor stock, and submit supply orders as needed
• Assist with event planning and logistics for at least 1 community outreach event per month

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience/knowledge with hearing aids is a plus

Skills/Abilities:

• Professional verbal and written communication
• Strong relationship building skills with patients, physicians, clinical staff
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Work Experience:

• 2+ years in a health care environment is preferred
• Previous customer service experience is required
