Qualifications

  • 1 year of medical office or related healthcare experience OR 6 months experience as a Providence employee in an Associate PCC position.
  • Preferred qualifications include coordinating patient care within specialties such as Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Spine, or other surgical areas.
  • Proficiency with Epic for scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and clinical documentation.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic coordinating care for multiple providers and complex patient needs.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a customer-service focus.

Description

The Patient Care Coordinator provides various receptionist and skilled clerical duties to support the department. This position may be responsible for scheduling patients, obtaining necessary documentation, supporting prior authorizations, and coordinating aspects of patient care to ensure continuity of care. A PCC will perform all duties a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of the entity.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating patient care within a specialty practice, such as Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Spine, or other surgical specialties.
  • Experience managing insurance authorizations and facilitating referral processes.
  • Proficient in Epic with experience supporting scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and clinical documentation.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic environment while supporting multiple providers and complex patient needs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities.
