Job summary

Sonova USA Inc. in Bolingbrook, IL seeks a Patient Care Coordinator to drive patient engagement and clinic growth. You will work with the Hearing Care Professional to deliver an outstanding patient experience, educate patients on care options, and coordinate appointments and outreach activities.

The role combines sales, service, and community outreach to expand patient opportunities and strengthen referral networks. Clinic hours are weekdays with no evenings or weekends required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience in hearing healthcare or related field a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming, professional patient experience and support clinic growth.
  • Conduct outbound calls to schedule tests and appointments; follow up with patients.

Job Description:

The Hearing Care Coordinator (HCC) plays a key role in the success and growth of the Greenfield clinic. Working closely with the Hearing Care Professional and clinical team, the HCC is responsible for creating an exceptional patient experience while helping build awareness, generate new patient opportunities, and grow the clinic within the local community.

This is a patient-focused, sales and business-growth role. The HCC builds strong relationships with patients, referring physicians, community partners, and local organizations to generate awareness and grow the clinic. Through proactive outreach, follow-up, appointment scheduling, and community engagement, the HCC helps connect people with the hearing care they need and supports the clinic in achieving its business goals.

As a Hearing Care Coordinator, you will:
Patient Engagement & Sales
  • Create a welcoming, professional, and positive experience for every patient.
  • Conduct consistent outbound calls to prospective patients to schedule hearing tests, consultations, and other appointments.
  • Support the Hearing Care Professional in achieving clinic goals through strong patient engagement and follow-up.
  • Educate patients on hearing care products, services, accessories, and available solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients to encourage retention, referrals, and repeat business.
Community Outreach & Business Development
  • Spend approximately two days per week in the field conducting community outreach and building awareness of the clinic.
  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, referral sources, community organizations, businesses, senior groups, and other local partners.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to increase awareness of the clinic and generate new patient referrals.
  • Represent the clinic in a professional and positive manner at community events, outreach activities, and meetings.
  • Take ownership of contributing to the clinic's overall growth and success.
Clinic & Patient Support
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments and manage the clinic's daily schedule effectively.
  • Complete insurance benefit verification and authorization requirements.
  • Provide first-level support to patients, answer questions, check patients in and out, and collect and process payments.
  • Process patient orders, receive products, verify orders, and coordinate patient pick-up..
  • Perform general office and administrative duties as needed.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
Industry/Product Knowledge:
  • Previous experience in hearing healthcare, hearing aids, or a related healthcare environment is a plus.
  • Sales, customer service, business development, or community outreach experience is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage patients and build trust.
  • Comfortable making daily outbound calls and proactively following up with patients and prospective patients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with patients, physicians, referral sources, community partners, and clinical staff.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of clinic growth initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license preferred and ability to travel locally for community outreach activities.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, take initiative, and follow through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • EMR/EHR experience a plus.
