Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Patient Financial Advocate to handle high volumes of patient calls and provide billing and payment support within Revenue Cycle.

You will assist with Medicaid applications and insurance questions, participate in financial assistance programs, and enjoy a sign-on bonus for external applicants plus a robust benefits package. Hours are 7:30am–5pm in Henderson, KY, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of experience accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data across multiple systems ensuring attention to detail
• 1+ years of professional experience in administrative support, customer service, healthcare operations, or related support roles

The Patient Financial Advocates are patient facing. This position generates revenue by handling high volumes of patient calls and providing telephonic customer service with basic knowledge of all areas of Revenue Cycle.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of experience accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data across multiple systems ensuring attention to detail
• 1+ years of professional experience in administrative support, customer service, healthcare operations, or related support roles
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:30am - 5pm
• Ability to work occasional overtime, weekends or holidays as needed
• Must be 18 years of age OR older

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
