Pembroke Pines, Florida-based Memorial Healthcare System seeks a dedicated caregiver to support RN-led patient care. You will monitor vital signs, assist with EKG testing, phlebotomy, glucose checks, and daily living activities while keeping patient rooms clean and stocked.

Summary

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.

Responsibilities

Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to: monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly.Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.Assist with transporting patients, as needed.Monitors patient status and response; Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.Additional duties as assigned.

Required Work Experience: Three (3) months of patient care experience demonstrating the ability to perform basic patient care or certification of completion from formal training program required.
