Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cambridge seeks a dedicated team member to support patient care on a day shift. You will perform and document point of care, vital signs, EKGs, feeding, and assist with ambulation, under supervision of RNs and physicians.

You will document in the Electronic Health Record, keep rooms stocked, help admit/discharge, and support a collaborative team. The role requires a High School Diploma, BLS/medical certifications, 1–2 years of patient-care experience, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of patient care/elder care experience preferred.
• Licenses and certifications: BLS, CMA, EMT-Paramedic, LNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care duties including vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, bathing, ambulation assistance, and 1:1 patient observation.
• Completes documentation of intake, intake fluids/food, urinary output, and glucose in EHR.
• Assists with meals, room stocking, and equipment setup; reports malfunctions.
• Assists with admitting and discharging patients and orientation of new team members.
• Maintains effective communication with nursing staff and patients to promote teamwork.
