Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Patient Care Associate for the Operating Room on a full-time, evening shift. The role reports to the Patient Care Director and involves 3:00pm–11:00pm shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a target start date of 10/01/2026 and end date of 10/10/2026.

Responsibilities include patient care tasks and various para-professional/technical functions to support patient health, safety and comfort, along with environmental duties and Nursing Attendant duties as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association
• 1 year of Nursing Attendant experience
• Completion of approved Patient Care Technician training program

• Provide patient care tasks and perform advanced para-professional and technical functions to support health, safety and comfort of patients.
• Perform environmental duties for the unit and assist as a Nursing Attendant as needed.

Patient Care Associate - Operating Room - Full Time - Evening Shift

Start Date: 10/01/2026 End Date: 10/10/2026 Description: Be an Advocate, a Care Taker, a Friend to Patients Patient Care Associate - Operating Room - Full Time - Evening Shift Under the supervision of the Patient Care Director, the Patient Care Associate is responsible for patient care tasks and a variety of advanced para-professional and technical functions/skills which contribute to the health, safety and comfort needs of patients. Performs various environmental duties for the unit and functions as a Nursing Attendant as necessary. This is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility. The shift for this position is 3:00pm - 11:00pm, and includes weekends and holidays.

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association
• 1 year of Nursing Attendant experience
• Completion of approved Patient Care Technician training program

Salary Range: $30.65-$32.82/Hourly
