Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking a Patient Care Associate to assist the nursing team on the unit with basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene. The role supports ensuring care is complete for every patient and guest, across hospital units as needed.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent with 12 college credits for promotion and may involve floating to other units when necessary. Epic charting is used for task monitoring.

Job description

A Patient Care Associate serves as a technical assistant to nursing on the unit whose primary function is to assist with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The nursing assistant works as part of the nursing team on a unit and throughout the hospital to ensure that each and every patient and guest to the hospital has their needs met, whether that need is physical, spiritual or educational.

Requires High School diploma or equivalent
Must complete 12 hours of college credit to promote to next level.
May be required to float to another unit/department when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed: Ability to read, write, understand and follow instructions. Basic addition and subtraction skills. The verbal skills to effectively relate to patients, visitors, staff, and physicians. Ability to utilize Epic to chart and monitor tasks to be completed.

This job will be authorized72.00 hours bi-weekly.
