St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate for the Kay 5: Solid Tumor/Neuro-Oncology unit. The role supports RNs and participates in frontlines of groundbreaking pediatric care, performing daily admin tasks, patient care duties, admission and discharge.

Shifts are days 0700-1900 with rotating weekends. High school diploma or Nursing Assistant program required; pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant program or foundations of nursing required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Experience with TPR, BP, bed bath and ADL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support RNs by assisting with daily administrative and clerical tasks and patient care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.

As a Patient Care Ass ociate in Kay 5: Solid Tumor/Neuro-Oncology , you’ll have the opportunity to serve on the frontlines of g roundbreaking new research. You’ll work to support our RNs as they facilitate the high-stakes treatment, assistingthrough daily administrative and clerical tasks, patient care duties, admission, and discharge.

Dayshift position 0700-1900 with rotating weekends

Minimum Education and/or Training:

• High school diploma/GED.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant program required or completion of foundations of nursing from an accredited nursing program.

Minimum Experience:

• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Experience with TPR (Temperature, Pulse, Respiratory), BP (Blood Pressure), bed bath and ADL (Activities of daily living) preferred.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $19.50 - $28.50 per hour for the role of Patient Care Associate: Kay 5 days.
