Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the clinical team on a 36-hour weekly schedule. This on-site role works 7:00 am to 7:30 pm in a 3x12-hour shift pattern, rotating weekends and holidays, with a $750 sign-on bonus.

Under supervision of a registered nurse, you will assist with procedures, monitor patient conditions, stock rooms, and help ensure safe, compassionate patient care. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • BLS Certification required.
  • Healthcare experience 1–2 years preferred.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist RNs and physicians with exams and treatments.
  • Record vital signs, EKGs, intake/output, and nutrition data.
  • Stock and clean patient rooms; transport patients as needed.
  • Collect specimens and document results per policy.
  • Maintain effective communication with nursing staff.

We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.Job Summary$750.00 Sign-On Bonus36hr Days 7a-7:30p 3x12hr shifts, rotating weekends and holidaysSummaryUnder the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.Does this position require Patient Care?YesEssential Functions-Perform patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including, but not limited to, performing and documenting point of care, vital signs, EKGs, bathing and other sanitary needs of patients, transferring and assisting with ambulation of patients, feeding patients, etc. Assist RNs and physicians with other exams and treatments as required.-Ensure that patient rooms are stocked, equipped, and cleaned appropriately, as needs indicate and as patient volumes change.-Performs specimen collection and documents all appropriate information.-Retrieves equipment from other areas, sets up equipment, cleans equipment between patient use, and reports malfunctioning equipment per organizational policy.-Documents patient information, such as height, weight, intake of fluids and food, output of urine/stool/vomit/other drainage, and blood glucose results.-Assist patients with food tray setup and eating if necessary.-Communicate with nursing staff in an effective and timely manner around issues related to patient care and patient condition.-Receive and direct Medical Staff, personnel, patients, and visitors.QualificationsEducation High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
