Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Miramar, FL seeks a Patient Care Assistant under RN supervision to perform basic patient care and support activities. Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Three (3) months of patient care experience or certification from a formal training program.
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Assists with transporting patients as needed.
• Keeps patient rooms stocking, clean and orderly; reports status to nursing staff.
• Performs basic patient care activities delegated by an RN, including vitals, phlebotomy, EKG, and intake/output.
