The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and assist with mobility.

Under licensed personnel, you will help with bathing, dressing, eating, and reporting concerns to nurses. Strong customer service, basic medical terminology, and computer skills for EMR are required; lifting up to 35 pounds and a high school diploma are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks such as bathing and dressing, and feeding when needed.
• Assist with turning and repositioning patients and transfers between bed and wheelchair.
• Reports health concerns to the nurses.

Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.Does this position require Patient Care? YesEssential Functions-Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.-Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.-Interacts with patients and their families effectively.-Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks.
