Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) I to support patient care by ensuring comfort and safety under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in accordance with Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines.

You will work as part of a collaborative care team, providing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and helping patients and families navigate the hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0–1 year experience preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical tasks delegated by the RN, in line with Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate effective communication, adaptability, teamwork and personal accountability.
• Ensure patient and unit safety.
• Provide patient comfort and hygiene and document according to policy.

• Environment and Safety: Ensure patient and unit safety.


• Comfort: Provide patient comfort and hygiene, documenting according to policy.
