The Transplant Progressive Care Unit at Banner University Medical Center is supported by a strong multi-disciplinary team which includes: social workers, nutritionists, case managers, transplant coordinators, pharmacists, therapists, chaplains, and physicians: nephrologists, hepatologists, surgeons, hospitalists and the medical teaching staff. On this unit you will care for patients with renal and liver transplant. We have a close working relationship with the Kidney Center and Banner Transplant Services and a team concept that provides continuity of care and teaching to promote healing so the patient can discharge in a timely manner.
As a Patient Care Assistant you are involved first-hand in providing care that improves patient outcomes and experience while also providing a greater learning opportunity about the heart and all its complexities. Team work is strong in this department, and support to be your best self is great. Members of our team have the opportunity to truly grow, with many PCAs becoming RNs within the department due to the support we provide while in school.
This is a full time Day Shift working three 12-hour shifts per week from 7am-7:30pm. You will have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18% night shift differential and a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.

This incumbent provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contributes to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records. The position also performs a variety of support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
Current BLS certification is required. Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills. Computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required. In California: advanced skills are excluded. BSS team members must have 12 months Banner experience in the role.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral or BUMG, BUMCT in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
