Mayo Clinic is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff through delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role aligns with CNA experience and involves responsibilities within the scope of unlicensed nursing personnel.

Eligibility includes minimum age of 18, and completion of nursing assistant training or equivalent preferred. A current Basic Life Support certification is required or provided during orientation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Completion of 12 college credits -OR- High school diploma/ GED with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred.
• Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; if not current, certification will be included as part of orientation.

Responsabilités

Responsibilities

The skills and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) align closely with those of a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT), making this a great opportunity for those with CNA experience.
