Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support an RN in delivering patient care, including hygiene and daily activities, transportation of patients and equipment, and room setup and stocking of supplies.

Designed for 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE) with a 3pm–11:30pm shift and every-other weekend, this role emphasizes teamwork in a hospital setting and requires BLS certification and a HS diploma or CNA credential.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent or CNA on Minnesota Registry.
• Valid BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care under RN supervision.

Job Description

As a Patient Care Assistant you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient's charts and other necessities.

Work Schedule: 32 hrs. weekly/0.8FTE; 3p-1130p with every other weekend

Required Qualifications:

• Must have one of the following:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered
• Valid BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications:

• CNA experience
• HUC or unit clerk experience
• Microsoft office experience
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital setting
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
